I've seen a few short videos on it's use and feel it would be a good secondary tool for my shop. Looking for honest opinions on it and if it's worth buying.
Thanks in advance.
very good on jap and EurI it’s my go to tool
I have been using it the x431 pro for about 2 years you will be amazed of capabilities, the only manufacture they have issus is Chrysler, I leaen that on the hard wsy after chasing my tail for hours, when I need to wirk on Chrysler I takemy verus ,other tan that has crazy funtions
It’s a decent tool for the money. Not very good for domestics but has decent coverage for euro and Asian imports. In my opinion the Autel is a better tool with more coverage but the Launch does fill in the holes that the Autel has. I do own both the Launch and Autel along with many OE scanners and I will generally grab the Autel or the Launch first because they have good coverage and boots up…
I recently purchased the X431 Pros Mini which I believe is the slightly larger and faster version. Not much more expensive than the Diagun and uses the same software. So far I like it overall. As others have mentioned, it seems to do best with Euro and Asian makes. It does do power balance on Fords similar to the IDS, which is great. Comes with 2 years of updates and supposedly a 5 year…
I've owned the DiagunIV since October,2018 when it cost only $525 and didn't include those useless OBD1 adapters like it does now. Amazing the capabilites it has. Was able to program keys on a later model Land Rover a few months back. The interface is a little crude and not as refined as Autel. The battery life is not great. Due to its small screen and increase in price since I bought it, I…
What is your primary tool sir?
I've looked at this product also. But I wanted to know if it will still work even if you don't update every year? I know that what ever the snap on is updated to it will still keep working if not updated.
It still works and does what it is supposed to do.
I bought the same tool a few years ago thinking that I was working on more imports lately.I was somewhat disapointed because I bought mine on ebay and might have gotten a cloan because 6 months after I purchased it I could not find any updates for it because Launch has discontinued it.I understand that there are many variations in these Launchs but Launch couldn't give me any support for…
I have a maximus 3.0 aka launch throttle and autel im608. Both have their strong points and weak. but if you grab a launch I think you will be very happy just know its limitations.
I have looked at it. But am troubled it is only really available from china. Looking at the Launch USA website it is not listed. Makes me believe that at the very least it is not a North American market tool. Some pretty smart guys use them but I am still not convinced to buy one yet.
Like I stated I purchased one a few years ago and when I went to update it I found it was discontinued, but they are still available.Go figure
The Autel MS 908 or 906 are better tools
I've owned it since May & am very impressed by it capabilities. For the money & updates, it's amazing! This is my main scanner until i get my Autel. I own a solus ultra & an auctron 9690 but this smacks them down hard. These 2 i hardly even reach for. If you are on a tight budget then grab it & make some more money!
my go to tool every day . I love it . and i have many scan tools
Hello Michael. I have a Launch x431 pro and in my opinion for the coverage for the money it is worth having as a secondary tool. It has done some things especially on Jeep and Mazda that my Autel 906 and my Snap on could not. The only thing I find is that with the pro is that it is slow. I believe there are models that have better faster processors. such as 431 torque. The 431 diagun is…
