Ford TRC Issues
See attached screen capture from Ford TRC website. I can login, and everything under the "Home" button works fine, but when I click on "Vehicle ID", the message shown on the attached screen pops up.
Anyone else running into this or have ideas? Still waiting on Ford response.
Thanks in advance!
Mike, All day yesterday and today. Maybe they fixed IDS and screwed PTS. :)
Thanks, John--just wanted to make sure it wasn't something on my end.
NASTF send and email today . you will need to deleted completely removed IDS/FJDS . Restart the machine and then download ver 118 Full followed by 118.3 update
You are referring to a completely different issue.
Working normally on my login, logged out and back in still works. Tried in IE and Edge browsers, neither are giving me trouble all day Your installer login may act differently than my retail login. Checked with a tech at the dealer and no issues other than the typical slowness from high traffic in the afternoon. diag.net/file/f5m7waprh…
Thanks, Chris---what do you mean by "Retail version?" I have tried on Desktop and Laptop. Like John stated below--tried IE and I also tried Google Chrome. Windows 10. Same screen on both computers. Even tried on an old Windows 7 system--same thing. I filled out help form on website---waiting for a reply. Aggravating.
If you look at the bottom header on the PTS site it will show dealer/installer/retail for the login type as well as what server you are logged into. Yesterday I was logged into WEB1 today WEB5. We use a retail login (we pay for the subscription through MotorcraftService.com ) I also checked with a friend at the dealer he had no issues either. This morning I am not having…
I just tried again - NO JOY. I did note that it is on WEB2
Is your login an installer login as well? Not that knowing would fix the issue, but at least it would isolate it to a certain account type.
Yes: US• USA• INSTALLER•EN Web Server: WEB2
HI Chris, OK I see what you are referring to--mine says Web 2. I have not received a response back from Ford (it does say it may take up to 24 hours). I did just check a couple of minutes ago and the problem still hasn't been resolved. I see Don's posts today--he is also an installer so the issue must be with the installer accounts.
Hopefully they don't discontinue the installer accounts seems that a lot of them are in use. If you talk to ford, I would bring up the specific account type to make sure they understand where the issue lies.
Hi Chris, I do have an installer account. I have spoken to others who also have installer accounts---everyone having the exact same issue. From what I can determine, it is only the installer accounts having this issue. It isn't affecting dealer techs or, like you, retail accounts See my update below.
Same here - I assume it is something on Ford's end.
Everyone in our company (upwards of 20 guys) cannot login to PTS either.
I just tried on several laptops, different browsers, and OS. All have screen that Mike posted. Something more for the Ford engineering team to look into.
I can login--just can't get past Vehicle ID button without that message popping up.
I'm having the exact same problem. I'm logging in thru fordinstallersupport.com I dont know if maybe its a problem with those type of accounts vs. a fmcdealer login. I can't complain too much considering I don't have to pay for the information.
Same here just tried a couple hrs. does exactly the same thing. Allows login but nothing else.
Last night, Ford released IDS and FJDS version 118.03 to resolve log-in issues on the IDS and FJDS software. Ford apologizes for the delay in resolving and testing as there were several issues found on the tool software and backend servers. As of 3:30PM EDT June 17, 2020, both scan tool downloads can be found here: motorcraftservice.com/diagnostic/Sup… According to Ford’s…
Not the issue being discussed here. We are discussing a Ford website issue.
For those of you who are also experiencing the same issue, please fill out this form and send it in. Sometimes I think if they only get one report it doesn't receive much emphasis: fordtechservice.dealerconnection.com/vdirs/motorcra…
Just now received an e-mail from Ford/Motorcraft that the issue is being investigated.
Mike, Still no love on my end. Did you hear anything else other than its being investigated?
Hi John, sorry for the delayed reply--I was out of town yesterday. I just tried it again and it is still doing the same thing. I am going to send them another email.
Everyone--- I just checked out the site again and the issue remains unresolved. However, there is the following message posted under "Broadcast Messages": "PTS will be undergoing maintenance on the morning of Sunday, June 28 EDT. During this time there may be system outages for several hours." So maybe it will be resolved next Sunday. Hopefully sooner.
Just now received an email from Ford stating that they are still working to resolve the concern and "hopefully it will be resolved soon".
