FJDS - No comm with License Server

Mauro Owner Massachusetts Posted   Latest

And then all of a sudden my programming laptop will not communicate with Licensing Server in FJDS, I've been in communication for over 4 hours with Fords Techline and also had Drew tech take a look, no answers at all. When we try to activate license get error code ‘The activation code entered is not recognized….' I've copied and pasted as well as typed it in. When we go into Network Options and click ‘Start Tests’ the first two, Initialization and Corporate Server Communication both come back with green checkmarks but the third on, Licensing Servicer Communication comes back with the Red X. Was doing this on Friday while still using vers 123, have since updated to 124, same issue, stumped….. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I don't work on Ford, but I've had similar issues with other makes. My first thought was an out-of-date software version, but it looks like you've already covered that. Is there a region and/or dealer type setting? Often dealers and independents use a different portal, and they're certainly different from country to country. Speaking of which, if you're using a VPN try turning that off. Good luck.

Mauro, I hope they already tried clearing the cache. Maybe turning off all Firewalls if you dare.

I had a licensing issue with IDS one day. I finally figured out my computer date was set to one day off. Set my date correctly and it immediately worked. Make sure date and time are correct.

First thing they looked at was date and time, which is correct.

Have you tried to connect to another source for the internet. Maybe tether to your cell phone and rerun the network test. I have experienced that with firewalls locally and also with OEM network issues. You can also try offline activation where you can activate it even if its not connected to the server

Thanks for the replies, all good useful info. The fix here was in IE10, internet options, I had to reset the IE options on this computer which must have checked this box under Security - ‘Check for publisher’s certificate revocation', uncheck the box and all is well.
