Bcm issue
This vehicle came in to my bay for front left and rear right parking lamp inoperative. Checked and found no power to parking lamps (supplied by BCM) with good grounds, next i monitored PIDS to BCM with scantool and found good, decided to check powers, grounds, voltage drop and load test signals to BCM and found good, performed load test from BCM to parking lamps and bulb was brighter then the sun.
I pulled the trigger and ordered a new BCM with costumers approval.
After receiving the module I programed with SPS and couldn’t program key to BCM after 2 hours attempting with my passthu and also with autel IM680 had no luck, called Calstate and warrantied the BCM, today I received the new one with same luck I programmed with KOEO since on newer vehicles you get the software corrupted.
Any help from the GM gurus would be appreciated im stuck in a hole hopping for some one to throw me some rope thanks for your time and help in advanced.
so You try the 10 minutes with the scanner, did you try the 30 minutes with no scanner right? i don't remember doing this specific car, I think should work,
Yes I tried it with the first module and didn’t work but will try tomorrow with 2nd module thank you
Ran into this issue with a new module. Just unhooked the battery and did the 30 min relearn and all was good after.
Will defiantly try this tomorrow thank for you expertise
If you don't mind me asking do the front left and right rear park lamps work now?? I understand that you need to program the IMMO. However the lights should work. I only ask cause most of the time this is a blown fused power to the BCM. Are you 100% sure all powers are good to BCM?
Perform the SPS2 IMMO Learn but use Body Control Module IMMO Learn with New Transponder or Remote Key but use the existing keys. You have at least 2 keys present correct? If it still fails I would worry that you have an issue with your pass-thru Or SPS2 as I know the aftermarket side is buggy to say the least.
I have attempted various times and I get a massage update not found, also tried BCM registration and supposedly the key is registered but the antitheft lamps is solid with no start.
Perform the 30 minutes without success, after clearing the immo codes the vehicle worked!
If your security worked on the old BCM I would recommend cloning the new BCM with the data from the old BCM. There are quite a few guys on here, myself included, that can do that for you. You will just need to ship both units to me. Shoot me an email. …
I will let you know if my customer decides to wait thanks for your time
Just a quick question before performing sps are you choosing (replace and program modules) because if you are choosing (reprogram only ) then that could be your issue... also once flash is programmed then you should continue to marry modules. Also if memory serves me correct I think you must have a new blank key available when ever trying to marry a new bcm to vehicle . BCM must marry to theft…
