Help w/ key programing Acura TSX
I am trying to help a fellow tech with an ECU out of a 2004 Acura TSX, apparently the ECU was replaced for a no start, no comm issue with ECU. They replaced the ECU with a used unit, and now they have comm w/ ECU, but no start, and Immobilizer faults. They took it to the dealer and were told that the ECU was one time use, and they couldn't program. My question is if they were to send both ECU's to someone-- could someone clone or do board level repairs to the used ECU and get it running again? Any recommendations would be appreciated- Thanks,
Have you tried to contact Keith Perkins at L1 Training. l1training.com/author/skperki… Its always a good idea to ask for a advise :)
Thanks Jorge, I'll have him contact you for shipping info.
If you have an autel you might be able to do this yourself?
I have the Autel as well as Honda OE subscription, but the car is in Connecticut, if I had it here I think I could get it figured out- Thanks,
There should be no issue programming a good and correct used ECM to this vehicle. The only thing that will prevent it is if any of the keys are a clone key it will not allow for programming. Not sure what the dealer is talking about.
I agree- but the car is stuck in Connecticut and not really sure what the story is. They are the original keys that they tried to program,
There are a at least a few mobile programmers in your area that should be able to get it done for you.
