All keys lost
The customer lost all his keys so I ordered a brand new key from Mercedes dealer and I took it to Mercedes to have it programmed . Two technicians later they could not get it programmed the key. They told me I need to replace the Electronic ignition switch. I am okay with that but they . Then they told me to hold on they're going to get a hold of Mercedes. It has been 2 weeks and they saying Mercedes in Germany is closed. I still don't have this car running! If I get a new Electronic ignition switch and blue key to activate the Electronic ignition switch to program the new key or do I need to program the Electronic ignition switch to the car first? Or what do I need to do to get this car running.Would appreciate any help!
Were did you get the key from ?? the reason asking cause the key looks old
2015 is going to be FBS4. That is a dealer only job. No aftermarket options exist to program a key yet. My suggestion would be to call Dustie at in California and possibly mail the modules in. …, ask for Dustie.
I did one fsb4 with factory tool new ignition switch and key and job is done as far Dustie at Diag speed they can’t doit dealer tool only new switch and key job is done probably dealer doesn't know what they doing
Dustie has the ability to do these on the bench now.
Just checked with Diag speed they don’t have the option for fsb4 keys not sure were you getting your info ???
I'm a Mercedes Benz Master certified technician who is one of the technician's that handles DAS4/FBS4 . Since you lost all keys what needs to happen is they need to order a preprogrammed key. All of our theft relevant parts come out of Fort Worth. The process is pretty straight forwarded. You need to have a trp form filled out and a lost all keys/ fallback form filled out and they need a copy of…
I just looked up parts info with your vin and it should be a … the blade is … The document is OF80.57-P-3000-01A that is the fallback form number that they use in wis SUBJECT: Ordering a Programmed Key when no keys are present – “The Fallback Process” Applicable Models: Refer to WIS document OF80.57-P-3000-01A for current applicable models Important Note: Check…
The last 4 means that is a blank key it should end in 0041
you will also need to have the vehicle towed to the dealership. That is our policy for pre programmed keys
Thanks for the info do you have any tricks on how to get them out of park with no keys
No it sucks we use a bolt on freewheeling hub or 4 go jacks and push it in.
Just jack up the right rear tire off the ground, onice that wheel is free all others will just roll, they make a hub adapter in towing that u put between rim and hub
Goodro, would that be your employer's tow-in policy? Because with all the forms and ID submitted in compliance with MBZ protocol, it seems a bit excessive, especially when we've performed the same operation through local MBZ certified parts outlets (including two independent facilities) with never a need to have customers' cars towed anywhere.
In Canada for FSB4 vehicles that have lost all keys, the vehicle has to be present at the dealership before the xsf ticket is created to order the preprogrammed key. Germany wants to know the vehicle is in our possession before a preprogrammed key is released to the dealership. It is all part of the hoops the MB makes us jump through in Ordering TRP parts
