Topic 1: "Effective Electrical Troubleshooting Application of Asian OE Schematics 2022"
Wiring diagram navigation skills are critical to diagnosing and repairing today’s vehicle in a timely and accurate manner. No matter which information system you use, you should be familiar with its format. You should have complete confidence in using your information system, as well as knowing how to navigate and locate the wiring schematics for the vehicle you are working on. Essentially, we have two ways to analyze electrical schematics, we can use aftermarket wiring diagrams, or the OE wiring diagrams. This seminar will focus on utilizing the OE wiring diagrams used by many of the Asian manufacturers: WE WILL COVER: Utilize select Asian OEM schematics and support material to effectively diagnose electrical problems. Explain unique features of Asian OEM system and understand global format wiring on select vehicles. Combine advanced testing techniques with OE information to isolate problem areas. Practice pre-planning using wiring schematics and symptom descriptions. NOTE: This course is not intended to instruct the technician how the electrical systems function on a vehicle. Providing the technician has a good fundamental understanding of electrical theory, this course will introduce the skills necessary to read and interpret original equipment (OE) wiring diagrams on any vehicle platforms using them.
Topic 2: "Advanced Driver Assistance Systems - Performing Proper Calibrations"
Vehicles with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems have been around for nearly 20 years, however the number of ADAS equipped vehicles on the road has increased dramatically in the last 2-3 years alone. Today, even the most basic vehicles are equipped with ADAS systems as standard equipment significantly increasing the number of ADAS calibrations which need to be performed today and in the future. This class will discuss the critical aspects of performing accurate calibrations of these systems. • ADAS Best practices • Increase the accuracy of ADAS calibrations • Vehicle preconditioning • Proper documentation of ADAS calibrations
Topic 3: "GM Infotainment and MOST System"
This course covers the operation, characteristics, and diagnostics of the Next Generation Infotainment system. This course also covers diagnostics of the GM MOST network. The GM MOST ring break, fault reporting procedure as well as programming and configuration will be presented in detail. There will be a series of exercises to aid in the understanding of these all-important systems. This is a must attend course for the serious “serial communications protocol” expert.
