2014 Polaris Ranger 400
Can any one supply wiring diagram for starting circuit , no crank , i bypassed the starter solenoid , it cranks and runs , looks like it has at least two modules,and has neutral safety switch, i have replaced ignition switch already. starter solenoid is not getting ground. not sure if i can post this here, customer asked to look at it , didn' t want to say no, so here we are.
I havent seen this issue yet however I had a few issues with connectors by the steering collumn on the 4 wheelers. Hope it helps
Last Polaris I had, used the brake pressure switch for the ground for starting. It needed power from the ignition and ground from the Pressure switch located on the outside of the cabin. HTH I guess I should have started with the fact that the brake pedal has to be depressed to crank. Sorry
Its fixed , I was not pressing brakes to start
Babu, Glad I could help. This reminds me of the 80s Volkswagen models. They had an important relay (may have been fuel Pump) that would not operate if the seat belt was not buckled. Bottom line, you needed to have a full understanding of how it all functions. Kudos to you for reaching out when you needed to gain more insight.
Hi Babu, Have you ridden this to make sure it shifts like it should? I ask because the neutral switch is activated by the shifter plate. The switch is difficult to get out, but I would verify it functions before digging to far. This may be better off going to a ATV shop. At this age some dealers will no longer work on older units.
