Xhorse key cutting machine
Anybody using any of these machines? Or have you had the opportunity to try one. What is your opinion of them?
Dennis: I have the Dolphin XP-005 and I really like it. I have made keys inside of customers shops and I have made them in peoples driveways. I am impressed every time I use it. I have only butchered 2 keys and both times it was operator error. I also bought the Key Tool max to go with it, so I don't know how it works with the phone app as the Max has the program built in. If your looking to…
I have one. It got me into keys but I will be upgrading very soon to a keyline. I have run into issues cutting a variety of keys, that have caused me issues. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and as long as you're ok with that then cool. It will become my backup.
I have the Condor XC Mini. Great cutter for the price, but you will still need a manual duplicator for the ones it won't decode properly, or for non automotive keys. If you have a valid key code, it will cut it perfectly every time.
I just got my dolphin 005 and haven't even used it yet lol
I have been happy with my Dolphin. I also have the key tool max and Key OBD. I bought the extra jaw that is primarily for residential keys and find that the tool does a better job using that clamp on single sided keys and some shorter keys
i have the dolphin XP005 great machine for car keys but also for house keys i recommend it
I have a Dolphin and works pretty well. Nice that it's battery operated and can take it to the vehicles side.
I don't use it a lot but I have a dolphin and it has worked fine for me. Using phone with app to control it.
I have xhorse xc mini plus and is perfect no problems two years with it.
I have an XP005 and a XP007. The XP005 is absolute junk. I hate it, Simple tasks like 2 sides GM keys it will not decode. You have to copy. I know not a big deal unless you are doing all keys lost. Won't make a honda key to save its life. I have found many flaws in the software, This tool has cost me a lot just in damaged keys. It is setting in the garage, I am thinking it will make great…
I have made several Honda keys with my xp005 with no issues
I have cut several honda keys with the dolphin. They all end up in the trash. I have cut 6 honda keys with my miracle and 0 problems. I have only had the xp005 since October. I bought it used. I have calibrated it several times. It never gets any better,
I have a XP-007 manual cutting machine with battery. It was the best deal for a quality-looking entry level machine. Anything less than this I found to look very poorly made or didn't have vertical milling capability. There are cheaper side cut machines of decent quality but they are all but useless for the keys I plan to cut. My biggest complaint is that I have never been able to calibrate the…
