What repair are you unable to perform?

This is not a request for a specific repair or specific vehicle. Rather it is a request and notification that we have been unable to contact anyone at Tesla regarding licensing of their service information for our repair information products.

What information are you having trouble obtaining?

We have been attempting to identify the person or department at Tesla to approach relative to licensing of their service information to include in our repair information products. After several outreaches with no response, we wanted to run this by NASTF to see if you could offer a solution.

What steps have you taken to obtain the information you need?

We have attempted direct contact with Tesla. They have not returned calls.

I too would benefit from access to Tesla data. Currently, I know there are multiple connectors on the market that will link into the CAN network; however, the only ability I have seen them allow is for accident reconstruction and sudden unintended acceleration claims. They do not allow the data to be accessed directly, the vehicle is downloaded with a laptop, then the file is uploaded to Tesla…
