This seminar provides an understanding on the use and proper diagnosis using a scan tool and labscope to diagnosis today’s electronic machines. • The real-world examples of scan tool and labscope data are from problem vehicles obtained from the shop bays. • The scan and scope examples are some of the more difficult examples from the ATS hotline where vehicles are diagnosed and repair. • The process of this seminar will provide a guide path in using scan data, then moving on to labscope waveforms. • If you are a beginner or seasoned technician there will be information that you can use making your job easier.

Register: …seminars.org Instructor: Jeff Zide About Jeff: During my high school years, I could always be found in the Auto Shop. After High School I attended Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston and earned an Associate of Science (AS) in Automotive Technology. I went to work at Clark & White Lincoln Mercury in Boston where I earned ASE Master Automotive Technician certifications. During my 12 years at Clark & White I earned Top Ford Technician in the country status in Ford's CTP (Certified Training Program). I went on to open my own independent shop eventually returning to the Ford Dealership after 6 years. One of my repeat customers, A Technical Forman at GTE Government Systems convinced me to come work for him computerizing and automating the Printed Circuit Assembly department. While at GTE I took night classes earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology. During this time, I built and raced hot rods and campaigned a D-Gas Chrysler Hemi running the quarter mule in 9.46 seconds at 146 mph. I went on after 11 years at GTE to Digital/Compaq/Hewlett Packard traveling the world specializing in High Performance Data Systems. Then, a little over 3 years ago, I answered an ad for Automotive Test Solutions merging my two passions. Bernie and Neal entrusted me with the creative freedom to develop world class support, product development and training.
