Known Good Cam/Crank for 2014 Nissan Rogue 2.5
Hi guys. I'm hoping someone can help me with a cam/crank waveform for a 2014 Nissan Rogue 2.5. I found one for a 2010 in the Pico library but it looks like it's off so slightly that I need to make sure.
I heard All Data has a lot of cam/crank waveforms. Can anyone tell me how to find those?
I'll attach a Pico file of my possible bad cam/crank waveform.
Thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate the help.
On AD SI, go to the code for the cam sensor; ie P0340, then go to pin point diagnostic for that code. Several Asian models have a factory waveform. How far off is it? It has to be at least a tooth which is usually 15-20 degrees. What is the complaint?
Thanks Stephen. I'm not sure how to precisely calculate degrees with the Pico software. I had a different post on this vehicle a few days ago about a knocking noise. I replaced the rear main seal on this vehicle and now it has a low knocking noise and low power on acceleration, so I suspect the timing chain and/or the balance shaft chain may have jumped when I was loosening or tightening the…
Here is an Altima with the QR25DE engine.
Thanks Justin. That is quite a bit different than the 2010 QR25DE cam crank waveform I had. Based on that, my timing chain is off or the VVT may be sticking.
I avoid at ALL COSTS turning any engine backwards that MAY result in a disturbed timing chain or belt.
I would expect a vehicle of that model year to set a correlation code if its that far off. What does the scan data look like?
I thought the same thing. Maybe if I were to drive it longer it would eventually set a code. Scan data looks normal. But it has low power on acceleration. Comparing to the waveform that Justin provided from a 2014 Altima with the same engine, my crank signal is advanced.
I have provided known good cam/crank waveform for you from alldata
I have a 2013 Rogue at my shop I could try to get a known good for if you decide you still need.
I appreciate that, Andrew. I did end up physically checking the timing marks and they were all aligned correctly. It doesn't exactly match the 2014 Altima QR25DE cam/crank pattern. Another thing to note is that the Altima has an exhaust cam sensor and the 2014 Rogue does not. However, with the low power concern on this vehicle, and finding metal shavings on the VVT solenoid screens, it's…
