No code Colorado with MIL on
I was summoned to program a new replacement Chassis Control Module (FPCM) on this truck that was replaced to address a P069E. The reprogramming went fine. I cleared codes with TLC but after starting the truck, the MIL was illuminated. I scanned all modules with AutoEnginuity and saw no DTCs in any module. I connected a new Snap On Apollo(?) and found the same into. In Generic mode I noted that the ECM data indicated MIL command was “on” with no DTCs either. That’s odd.
Stumped at that point, I found many updates available for the IPC, ECM & TCM. Updating the IPC made no difference. Updating the powertrain modules fixed the issue.
“Global reset” fixes this issue. Happens to a fair amount of the newer vehicles
Rusty, I agree with William. I see it quite often. I believe it has to do with CAN traffic and last message node received. By the way typically code P069E usually is an information code telling you to scan the FPCM/CCRM for codes. Glad you got TLC to play nice :)
TLC worked just fine till I swapped from Cardaq to AE. When I reconnected Cardaq, it wouldn’t connect with TLC till I restarted the application. As an aside, I tried to buy 4 VIN authorizations yesterday. THAT didn’t go well. CC got charged, the process didn’t finish, and I got no authorizations. Still waiting for a resolution.
I also purchased 2 subscriptions yesterday and got charged for it but system did not complete sequence to allow access until I closed program and restarted it . And it seems you can only use Chrome or Edge to be able to complete every transaction.
If you say so 😀 Shall I assume that you mean a battery disconnect and depletion of capacitors?
Yes , just disconnect negative from battery for 5 min. I've seen this a few times
You were summoned ? Are you an evil spirit ? Or perhaps a magic genie ? Sorry Rusty, I couldn't help myself ! Hope all is well my friend.
