2020 Mazda CX-5 "Switch Housing"/"Unit Start Stop" (Part # GRY7-67-5S0E) Replacement and No Start
Greetings!
A body shop called us for a no-start condition after they switched out the switch housing/unit start stop (part GRY7-67-5S0E) on a 2020 Mazda. The original part starts the vehicle just fine, but the customer gets an intermittent key warning due to the FOB sensor in the vehicle.
I have dug around a bit, but I can't find anything documentation that suggests this is either the immobilizer or a programmable module that would prevent the vehicle from starting.
Does anyone have experience with this particular part?
Thanks in advance!
Mitchell states that the start/stop unit needs programmed after replacement as it's part of the immobilizer system. It does appear this part holds the key codes for the immo.
Heading out to reprogram this thing. Thanks!
