2011 Buick Lucerne Park Assist Inoperative

I'm not sure I understand - if you go into the DIC can you switch the PA function to on? Or is it showing that it is on, but just not working? Also has the car been painted or bumpers re-sprayed?

Hey Jim, sorry for that write up. On the DIC the park assist is off and unable to turn back on. We are finding limited check out for this issue. I've inspected the sensors for damage and they appear to be fine. Using a Autel scan tool the system is in "inhibit" mode now. Have you done a full system scan? Any other faults. Is the park assist module seeing reverse?

is The radio factory and does it work? Many GM’s use the radio to play the warning tones. If the radio is aftermarket or doesn’t work it will disable the Parking assist on many GM products.

Not sure if the Autel has this, but the Tech 2 has a disable history in the data PID list. If you have this, what are the reasons listed? I think Tech 2 gives you the last 7 reasons for disable. You mentioned that you used GDS2 to look at the data, but the Lucerne isn't available in GDS2. Just wanted to clarify that its definitely a Lucerne?

Hey guys! just wanted to follow up. We found a service bulletin asking to check module program number to ensure this was update with GDS2. We were able to do this and system was up to date. Identifx was able to email us a factory diag plan. We found power and ground at park assist module checked fine (black and red wires) There is a grey output comm line coming out of park assist module not…
