Used Instrument Cluster (Not Programming)

Hello.

I have this vehicle i'm working on. I replaced instrument cluster due to fuel gauge inoperative. Customer decided to order one and when I installed it in vehicle & I tried programming using Autel PMI (Programming Module Installation) everything works fine but when I try to program the keys it accept keys also but vehicle still do not crank or start.

I tried programming keys using advanced diagnostics MVP Pro & Smart Pro.

Am I doing something wrong? PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS ONE.

Hi Arsalan: To the best of my knowledge, you need: Mazda IDS (formerly MMDS), a VSP credential, an In Code and money to get the In Code (30 scoobs). Since MMS is PCM, I doubt if you'll be able to use that. HTH, Guido

Will it work if I purchase Mazda Subscription and try programming? I just want to make sure I'll be able to do the ICM if I purchase anything. Thank You

Did you perform the parameter reset? I used the below app for incodes and outcodes last week...worked great. No LSID needed, just a cardaq and MMP short term subscription from Mazda.

I have only used it on ones with a 6 digit outcode. The app does indicate that it would work on 6, 12, or 16 digit outcodes though. I would guess yes it does. First code is free, after that is was $7ish for 10-20 codes I think.

Previous calculators that I have seen only worked on Mazda up to 2010.5MY then I think the algorithm for calculation was changed.

Arsalan, The Smart Pro should be able to do a parameter reset. It writes information from the PCM to the cluster. So you may have the keys programmed but the cluster and PCM need to be on the same page. If not you can use the Mazda J2534 subscription. If you do not have an LSID, you can get the incode from the Smart Pro or go to weboctopus,nl to decipher incode from outcode. (I may have the…

Hello. Smart Pro is not working with parameter reset for some reason. I was able to fix it using token application which was provided by Mark Beville.
