Almost every shop has felt the crunch of the technician shortage at some point. And now it seems everyone is experiencing some type of labor shortage.
What does that mean for the people you have currently employed?
The NUMBER ONE reason people stay at their current positions isn't pay, benefits, pizza parties, and the occasional retreat to the owner's log cabin.
These are a band-aid approach to something that's more difficult to quantify and systemize.
The main reason an employee stays is "engagement".
