2015 Hyundai PTS Key For programming
Good morning all.
A friend of mine owns a 2015 Hyundai Sonata with a push to start system. He damaged one of his 2 remote controls and he ask me to reprogram another one. I have an Snap-On Apollo D8, Autel Maxisys Eite and a Lunch X431 Pad II AE scanners. Since my friend lives about 150 miles from my home, I cannot plug in my scantool to check if programming the remote control is possible. The 3 devices offer me the reprogramming of the immobilizer module, however they do not distinguish between regular key and push to start system. I would like to know if any of you have already reprogrammed a remote control on this type of vehicle with one of the two scantool mentioned and what was the result. Thanks in advance.
Hi! I have programmed similar model several times, but using Gscan 2 and Gscan 3 devices. There is "SKM" system menu for additional smart key programming and separate "Code Saving" menu for remote programming. In both cases you need to input 6 digit PIN Code, which can be obtained through NASTF. Good luck!
Autel will do it. You will need the LSID to get the pin through Hyundai’s website. If you’ dont have the LSID I’d probably tell them to call a locksmith or the dealer. It’s a lot of paperwork To get that pin and no one will give you to you
Thanks for the info. The dealer who provides me with the remote control is ready to give me the pin code. So I have no concern for that. The question is whether the Autel Maxisys Elite is capable of doing the job.
Maxisys will do it, I've done it and works great!
