What repair are you unable to perform?

ETC SCN Coding on any … Mercedes

What information are you having trouble obtaining?

Response back from the XSF ticket or MB helpdesk

What steps have you taken to obtain the information you need?

We started an XSF ticket, emailed and called …

(Optional) Any other comments or concerns?

This system is really a POS without any viable support. The past issues were handled my Mirek, who is polite as well as helpful, but I got the impression that “Germany” is the cause for the lack of support, extreme time lags after filing an XSF ticket as well as crappy XENTRY J2534 Passthru stripped down $4500 operating system software.

Our XENTRY SCN coding works without errors on later model (2012 and up) vehicles, just not the early vehicles. We tried multiple early vehicles in succession with the same results. This problem is not limited to one vehicle or VIN. Yes, all updates were installed and the system was rebooted.

Can you tell I'm frustrated? Watch the video.

Timing out of DAS while programming with J2534 is a normal thing. You have to keep one thing in mind, Germany built this passthru software just to comply with the world. Not much interest was put into it to make it work properly. Flashing with Xentry is actually better when using with J2534 because most files were built to work with them. Offline flashing and online SCN coding is the best…

Yes, timing out happens on occasion but as of now SCN coding cannot be completed because it goes to a never ending time out cycle. Strange because 2012 and up does not have this issue.

Well, SCN coding is working this morning. After E Mails and phone call messages to support I sent in 6 XSF tickets in a row with various VINs and results. All with screen shots and video sequences of the malfunction. I received an inept response asking me for the Quicktest result. My issue obviously had nothing to do with the vehicle. Maybe is isn't obvious to someone in Germany sitting in front…

Well, as predicted, coding does not work as of Monday. This video sums up the issue. Yesterday, I attempted coding a new … ETC on a vehicle with VIN ending in A090313 using the DAS portion of the XENTRY system here at my shop. As you can see, the coding sequence cycles out each time coding is attempted. This is the same vehicle I successfully coded on Saturday at my home. Why does it…

Hello Mark. I think they are not understanding your issue. From what I can tell, the online system is finding the correct Flash file but your issue is with actual failure to flash the module. It seems that they are under the impression that the online system does not find the correct file for flashing. This is why they are referring to footnotes and guided test.

You are correct. I have sent them examples of the errors but they just don't want to understand.
