Witech 2 aftermarket pc registration
I am trying my first WiTech2.0 J2534 install ,i begin register witech aftermarket account,then i register my tool and I receive an email from fcawitech that says (your tool is approved),then i buy 3 days witech 2 subscription.
i launch the witech 2 application but it still says that pc not registered.
i am using autel j2534 maxiflash elite.laptop hp window 10.

Hi Tanner , what do you mean by witech 2534 tool? if you mean the j2534 device ,yes I already instal it ,i am using the autel j2534 maxisys pro.
Did you go to KB articles and see approved J2534 devices and how register an J2534 device other than a Micropod II. These articles are great source of information. Read those before purchase. also look to drew tech.com and download their toolbox, again it will help you through the process. HTH T …
i already read all ,and i did the registration process step by step .As you see on the above photos atachment a confimation that all steps was done successfully!. but i do not know if i miss something !!!! thanks
Aly, Was the PC you used to register the tool the same PC you are using for programming? FCA authorizes the PC so if you move the tool to a different PC you will get an error.
Hi Michael, i still using same PC,but I instal windows 10,bcz before i use window 7 when i do registration and i read that witech need Window 10.
This answers you own question. Installing 10 after you registered your device.
Witech 2.0, I believe requires you to also have an ethernet connection hard line) from PC to web browser. And some modules that you want to program require a 4-digit "PIN," per se, that any dealership is obligated to give you. Good Luck.
It looks as though you have the right setup,and that the PC you registered is the one you are using... I dont think the Congo is a supported location. Have you tried a VPN to login from a US location?
Hi Keith , yes congo not supported location for witech ,but i access the website by VPN.
i had similler problem tech support told me us win 7 pro with latest internet explorer 11 because win 10 and there internet software are not compatable i tryed to buy witech subscription and didnt work with win 10 hope this helps Bob
Hi, but i read on their requirements that window should be 10,bcz witech can not works with window 7 now.
Id contact support and see what they say I know I couldent get my payment to go thru till I changed back to 7 but for me I got smart and have 2 hard drives 1 with 7 on it and the other with 10 then I can switch at will
Did you manage to resolve this? there is a witech 2.0 j2534 application that gets installed on the pc. Did you download and install the application? i don’t think you can launch witech 2.0 from the browser because you need the application to select the j2534 device. I once had to uninstall and reinstall the application to get it to recognize the 3 day license. Hope this helps Cheers

I think Bruce is correct. You registered your laptop, then, you upgraded your operating system to Win 10. Because of the operating system change, you now have to Re-Register the laptop.

You fixed half the problem but the device/J2534 has to be removed and registered again or transferred. When you register something like that there is a cookie placed on your laptop and that is what the system looks for to identify it. You changed the operating system and lost that cookie so now the PC identity doesn't match the registered device. Sometimes you have that option and sometimes you…
Open up the witech j2534 and go to about and see if the serial is still ybat You have registered. Maybe try uninstall and reinstall the app and recheck serial number matches. Only thing I can think of
