Trans Module 31036-9AM2A This car does have ABS. The used car department installed a replacement trans from the local Nissan dealer. When I go to the Nissan website to purchase the software to program the trans module, it gives me 4 different choices for software. One of the choices lists a vehicle with ABS, so I am assuming that that is the correct one. If anyone can shed some light on this for me in terms of selecting the correct software, I would be most grateful.

Thank you in advance.

I only see 2 options. Relearn your ROM calibration values, then look at line 10 in calibration data. It will either say 00e0 or 00f0. That is your program file.

Look up the tsb on how to do these. To do it right where Nissan will warranty it on the Sentra and Versa you probably need a consult 3+.

I do them all day long using J2534 NERS and Autel DS708bt for what it's worth.

Jared, I am sure you do and are successful. But, the question is will Nissan accept NERS and Autel setup when there is a warranty issue? Not slinging mud just an observation. That is why I provide my customers with screenshots from a factory Consult 3 Plus and use the TSB for Nissan Sentra CVT after replacement setup as my guide.

Hey, no offense taken! Just letting it be known it's possible with said equipment. I always print out the Programming Success verification (and save it to my hard drive in a RO specific folder as well) that NERS kicks out saying previous vs new program file. It's time stamped and has the Nissan logo on it. Have yet to have Nissan decline a warranty issue due to my programming yet. We do a ton of…

When I check for ROM data the attached sheet shows a split-year. Hopefully, this helps.

James, The info you provided would be needed if he was replacing TCM and had no reference to actual calibration present. He is only updating TCM for CVT replacement. I see Nissan is as “clear as mud” as well with parts and ROM data. Love the split here. One calibration is pro date 8/13 to 7/14 and the other is from 7/14. What happens if you had a 7/14 pro date and no existing module? I…

I was able to get this trans programmed with help from the dealer who we bought the trans from. I couldn’t nail down 100% which was the right software, but they were kind enough to help figure it out, since we do a lot of business with them. Thank you for all of the replies.
