Porsche Programming
So I got a call from a shop asking if I do Porsche programming. I told them I do not. They asked if I could. I again told them I have no clue on what it takes to do it the price to get set up. They started pleading with me if I could find out. After some back and forth I found the customer couldn't go back to the Porsche dealer nor did he ever want to back there. I left it at that and a greed to at least find out what it takes . I have searched NASTF and all of google/youtube but their is like nothing other than coding. What they shop needs is the suspension module reflashed for a TSB. Can anyone help get the info on the set up and cost to do this.
Iscan may get you where you need to go. I don't think you can do short term scripts with PIWIS and it's $46k or something crazy. I know for sure it's more expensive than Mercedes
Good recommendation Nick. We still need YM info to know if Autoland Scientech can cover this with the Support On Demand.
PIWIS is 30-40k. Porsche DOES offer SOME KIND of short term deal but I haven’t looked into it a ton. If you like gambling knockoffs do exist but I’m not sure id trust the cost of possibly bricking an entire porsche in the hands of a bootleg piwis.
Do you have any information year model. Model number maybe a VIN number a bit more information. I may possibly know someone that has some information to share we have no more information about the vehicle. Please advise. Thanks Alan
Start with the link below and register and ask for permission it can be done with a pass thru virtual piwis subscription the whole process take about a week your welcome in advance :) pcss-tsi.porsche.com/landing/static…
pcss-tsi.porsche.com/landing/static… I did a lot of testing for them when they first started PXN. It was VERY VERY slow, and still is, but is tolerable now. You must have a very good laptop, with a good processor and a lot of memory. The system runs through a virtual machine which takes up a lot of resources. A fast internet is also suggested. I tested three laptops…
All grrat responses. I would add: With the virtual tester you can use other Jboxes but the Actia unit is approved. I have used a cardaq successfully. It is incredibly slow so I wouldn't bother with an hour subscription for anything other than a code scan with very fast internet. I would also plan on having issues with the software. I have had issues logging in to the SW once installed twice…
You all are giving great Reponses and are being very helpful. Either way I for see this being very expensive for the owner of the vehicle, Which they are okay with cause they know that I am not a expert in Porsche by any means.
Can you give us the year make and model of the Porsche might be able to help you a little further if we had the vehicle information maybe even the VIN number would be good ?
SO I got signed up and approved I purchased a 1 hour subscription and I can't figure out how to load the software or set it up. Is there any documents available? Google and YouTube are no help at all.
Go here: pcss-tsi.porsche.com/landing/static… The second paragraph has a link to PPN. Click on that and log in. Then you can download PCSS.
But where do I download it? I don't see anywhere that I can download it. I have a 1 day subscription. I am using chrome browser. I have allowed all PNN site to use all cookies and have javascript allowed also.
Is pop-up blocker deactivated Did you go to application use on the PNN site ? and read instructions. Porsche PNN also has a help desk in Atlanta Georgia. I do very little Porsche work. But I do know that your PC has to meet their requirements to get into the system. hth. Alan K
so I need to send a document to Porcsche. I thought I had covered that when I signed up. So I'll update when that is done,
