I see Fords Ids 115 is out , given all the issues with 114 has anyone had any problems with 115?
It is my understanding that 115 has the same issues as 114.
Having problems with the 115.1 now. They have told me they fix the issue for 2010 and newer but not the older ones. Trying to program an ECM on an 08 F350.
Mike, have you tried programming any 2008?
Because that model year seems to be very problematic. There doesn't seem to be a lot of rhyme or reason to the issues except that earlier models seem to be more likely to fail.
I have noticed that on some vehicles and depending upon what I am doing (PMI, key programming, etc.) the VCM II doesn't do well. On the older vehicles I use the VCM I
I suggest you go buy a lottery ticket today, it must be your lucky day. :-)
Did you use the IDS or the j-2534 program? Also did you use Windows 7 or 10? I'm trying to find the common denominator for all the problems. I used Windows 7 and the IDS. Service pack 1, all updates on window and uninstalled the program and reinstalled. I did get further with the 115 than any of the 114 versions.
I have yet to experience it but I’ve heard they haven’t fixed it
Reprogrammed a 2010 F-150 Friday with no issues (using 115).
I am currently facing challenges with IDS 115.01 and a 2010 F250 pcm replacement, not sure yet that its software.
Chris, I noticed that you have participated in some of the other Ford programming issue discussions. Are there any known "old" versions still compatible that you have found to work? I'm helping one of my guys try to program a PCM/TCM with a 6-speed on a 2010 F-150. Looks like we are up against 2 obstacles though: This current IDS version, and also the 6-speed issue in your thread here (which…
113 was the last stable version but it has expired.
Well. I updated it. New software appear to identify interface in use. First time it did not launch. Windows Services was stuck longer than 20 minute and quit. Try to reinstall 114. No Go. Tried to uninstall 115. Stuck. Tried to repair it. Stuck. Later restart pc, and IDS started, shows correct release level, and is launching normally now. Pending to use in real diagnostics to see.
I was forced to update to 115 last week in order to do programming. It worked. Yesterday it couldn't ID a 2012 F350 though.
Does any one know what service or background program "forces" you to update? maybe if we stop that service you will not have to update? Anyone else find 114.04 stable? I going to stay @114.04 as long as I can, no issues noted yet.
For me it was simply that the older version refused to let me program unless I updated to 115. This isn't the first time I've run into that message, I was just hoping that I wouldn't get it until the bugs got worked out.
So I completly uninstalled Ids 113 and FDRS as well , I ran the Ids cleaner app and then installed 115 and the latest FDRS software , there is an updated VCI software and a VCMII firmware update as well . Afterwards I was able to program a 2007 fusion with no problems. I am still using Windows 7
2011 F150 PCM PMI from original module, FJDS 115.01 no faults.
I've been trying everything I know to do in order to UPDATE a 2008 F-350, 6.4 diesel PCM (doing it remotely for a customer in another state). He was getting the infamous "Testman Runtime System has stopped working" error message while using IDS version 117.01 and tried everything he knew before enlisting my help. His laptop is a Win7Pro64 which he's used for about 2 years with very few problems…
2008 6.4 PCM's are kinda tricky. If you don't inhale from the original IDS/FJDS shows it as an invalid part for the vehicle. Do you have access to the original module?
Hi Chris, He's not replacing the module, he's updating it.
I didn't read your post I guess. Updates are not normally an issue on those. I have seen testman errors from vehicle problems in the last year. Used to only be testman errors on software issues and 0x0 type faults for module/vehicle issues, Not sure exactly whats causing your fault though. Windows other than 10 is not supported by Ford and systems are hit and miss if they work. Do they have…
Thank you Chris for your feedback. He uses Win10Pro for his office management but not in the shop. We've not pursued that avenue yet, but may try it if all other options fail.
Update: I got some feedback/suggestions from a few members (thanks again guys). However, now with 14 hours into it, I've decided to "throw in the towel". Please see my request for a mobile tech/programmer. Using the suggestions I received I got 113.01 to properly load, open etc. however, the license wasn't recognized as valid. He'd just renewed last month (18 days ago). It's my belief that the…
