Traction light/u1900 after pcm replacement
Hey everybody, so we had a 3.0 that lost a coil driver (shocker, I know). Replaced plugs, coils, and Pcm with one from ford. After programming with IDS and doing a parameter reset in PATS the car starts and runs perfectly but throws a u1900 CAN Communication Bus Fault - Receive Error in the cluster and has the traction light on. I've done PMI on the PCM twice and on the cluster once with the same results. The only thing that I haven't tried is PMI on the ABS module but the lady wanted her car and we ran out of daylight. Anyone every bump up against this?
Thanks!
Matt
Well, since it's setting in the ABS/traction control system, I'd go there.
The problem is the pcm thinks it does not have traction control and it does or it thinks it does and it doesn’t. Did it ask during the pmi whether it had traction control? I’m sure it does. Probably a “tcs” button on dash
That makes sense Allen. It did ask and I must have fat fingered it. I’ll get it back in here and see if I can find a way to change it. There was no “as built” option for the pcm. Thanks
