2014 Buick Verano Premium 2.0L (V LHU) 6-spd (6T50)

2014 Buick Verano Right side detection module ( RPO -B218R) is missing from module list. GDS only shows left side module. You can not attempt to communicate or request module info as there is NO listing to choose. I have submitted a complaint to AC Delco Help line today. SPS does list both right and left side modules...

I ran into a newer gm vehicle that had communication codes for the right side module and it was due to the left side module connector being damaged/unplugged. In the diagram, communication goes through the left side module to the right side. Hth. Marty

As martin said right side is not wired to the network but communicates and programs through the left side module. more often than not wiring issues across the bumper. You can see how they wired the modules in a network diagram rather than the module diagram.

GMs technology has proceeded it's diag abilities. Sometimes SPS will show something from a generic viewpoint( for lack of a better term) even if the vehicle isn't equipped with it. And GDS probably doesn't list it because its not a module you can comm with on the scan tool. The right side is actually a slave of the left side. If you can comm with the left side an there are no codes an the system

The missing module on this particular vehicle is a software error in GDS. Tech assistance advised me to manually enter or change the VIN to be a 2015 I then had both left and right modules and could diagnosis the vehicle 😁.

Follow up on new module replacement. It was necessary to plug new replacement module into left side to program with SPS and then reinstall on right side of vehicle... If you try to program it on the right side SPS will error with a no comm issue.
