2003 GMC Yukon SLE 5.3L (Z L59) 4-spd (4L60-E)

Ladies and Gentlemen. We have come across the 2003 Yukon, no crank, no start. Traced back to PCM not grounding starter relay. Checked powers and grounds, which were good. Needs a PCM.

It's been a couple of moths since we have used SPS. And now there is Techline Connect and SPS2. Used my current username and password and logged onto TDS, purchased my program subscription, $53 CAD. Time to download and install new software, no issues. Next step is to launch the APP, it asks for username and password but my current UN and PW don't work. I refer back to the Drewtech walkthrough and it tells me to access the Tecline subscription on TDS. Which is an annual purchase of $3864 CAD.

Is this correct? Do we now need to purchase, for no small sum, access to the software as described? Or am I missing something?

Much thanks in advance,

Dave

You need to launch the software from the web page.

I didn't have to pay for techline connect subscription but I did have to install it on my personal laptop with a newer version of windows for it to open. It would not work on my old toughbook!

It needs to be launched through the acdelcotds website. Follow the process like with sps and an option will appear to launch techline connect.

You log in to acdelcotds.com click on your subscription and you will be directed to the Techline admin page. If you've already loaded Techline Connect, click “launch” and you'll be automatically logged in to Techline Connect and may proceed with programming.

Hi Todd , do u or anyone know (with new SPS-2 ) can u program used modules like a PCM, like in the past with SPS where we used to change VIN and and continue with replace and program?

Not sure, I haven't had a used module to program since they launched the new platform. You'll have to try it to see if the program will allow you to overwrite the VIN that is pulled from the vehicle when you connect to it.

One of the other techline threads on here had a few people saying that you can not program a used module with sps2 and in some cases it even bricked new aftermarket modules. I have no first hand knowledge if it will work or not with sps2 as I purchased new oem after reading that thread.

Did you ever figure out if a used pre Global A PCM can be programmed with Techline connect? Does Techline connect recognize donor PCM and correct VIN or does it eat a credit and lock it to the donor PCM vin? Is there an alternative way as in plugging in original PCM, connecting w/ Techline connect, then swapping for used PCM just before programming?

Thanks everyone. It seems in haste I clicked the wrong box in a permission window. Thanks for the info. And for the record, we do not have to pay the large sum for access to SPS2, we just need to pay better attention.
