Volvo VIDA subscription

I have a Volvo to program this Saturday and when I was looking at Volvo’s VIDA website I saw that they are having issues with some credit card purchases of subscriptions on thier site, I was wondering how many here have run into that and if it’s better for me to try to subscribe Thursday evening so if there are issues I can call support on Friday due to Hawaii’s time difference?

Hi Kabel: Unless they changed things, the clock doesn't start running until you register the PC. One time, because of their obstinacy and unparalleled sanctimonious attitudes, it took 3 weeks to start my subscription. Every day of going roundy-round with them was a joy. HTH, Guido

last week I subscribed to VIDA and never got it working fully. Their tech support was useless

Don't worry about time to call - they do not offer phone support. Their support is limited to an online support request section on the Volvo tech info site. In my experience (we purchase the yearly subscription being a specialty shop), the purchase issues are usually resolved within a day or two. Thanks, I do have experience using Vida because I worked at a shop that was a Volvo warranty and recall location and I was the only tech that they trained on it so I hope I don’t have any issues with the programming part, this will just be the first time I have used Vida with a J box

I used it last week and it took awhile to get my laptop set up cause it would bot recognize it, but I got it set up in the end and it worked flawlessly after wards. Tech support got back tome in about 10 minutes through web chat.

Well I navigated the perils of Volvos credit card system successfully, and now I’m running into the fact that they are having problems issuing subscriptions. LOL I just hope they have it fixed in time to program the vehicle I need to.

Well that was a bit of a nightmare but at least it ended well!! after they fixed their issues I was able to get a refund on the first purchase that went through but never registered and had to create another account. Once I got in it was smooth sailing for all except my wallet as to program a steering module was and additional $70 �
