Hello To all, hope your Thanksgiving is going well and you are Blest!
Been trying to gather a few Known good files on some time off...... however i am getting this bad hash after vehicle starts up, KOEO is perfect as you can see, my grounds are connected to a signal return at the PCM, tried the battery as well....... just want to have the best files i can. Any and all info/ help would be great....!
Do you have the filter turned on?
You mean on each channel as I record ?
Yes. What scope are you using
Pick 4425, here is a few shots of my setup let me know if you see something of concern
Sometimes the bnc to banana adaptors are not the cleanest. I would recommend picking up a new set of leads from Aeswave.
Try some low pass filtering. Increase frequency until pattern "cleans up".
Not sure what filtering or sample rate you are using. But those can both play a big factor into what you are trying to accomplish with the signal.
I think that most of the noise is ignition radiation. It could come thru magnetic/capacitive pickup and/or thru the ground connection(s). Things to try are; only connect one of the scope lead grounds, leave the others not connected. At the minimum, connect all grounds to the same point or stack the ground bananas. Connect ground lead to as close to the ground for the measured signal as…
Had the same problem using hanteek leads bought a new set of leads from aes wave and no more problem
Hello to all, So the very reason I am scoping for is to learn what good looks like ......... in this case I did just that , I was scoping a ETC drive motor on both the control wires and the signal wires ....... the noise comes from the drive motor control wires, I was not aware of how extremely fast the duty cycle of this is , so in conclusion when scoping this component the answer was to…
