Lost communication with ABS
Power supply to ABS module is good. Abs module was replaced. Any advice?
Did you happen to check CAN wires to and from?
Yes i check voltage of can wires but by using multimeter(can C+ 2.6 and can C-2.3) because for the moment i do not have scope.
Is this enough to say that can wires are good?!
That should be close enough. But there appears to be two sets of can wires Pins 5 and 6 go to other modules Pins 8 and 9 seem to be a separate network to the dynamic sensor Did you LOAD test the grounds at pins 13 and 38? Did you LOAD test the powers at pins 21 and 35?
This is what i test :ground pins 13 and 38, battery live pin 1 via fuse J06 40A and pin 25 via fuse J07 30A, ignition live pin 31 via fuse M37 10A. CAN + pin 5. CAN – pin 6. ABS connector pin is in good condition. what i should test also?!
How about you remove the module, and supply it power and ground on the bench. That way you can test the wake-up signal that will come down the CAN wires when it boots up.
I think you need to get your hands on a scope , scope pins 5 and 6 . I also recommend cutting those data bus wires and scoping both cut ends . This will prove that the network/circuit is Live coming from other modules , and on the other end prove that the connection /harness / module is good on the abs module side . Having a live data bus waveform at a module does not mean that module is…
Plz can you explain more about cutting the data bus wires and scoping both cut ends?!!!(i should cut pin 5 and 6?!)
Cut the wires at a accessible spot so you can repair wire after testing . if you have modules talking on a can network and you probe the wires to scope a good waveform . that proves that at the spot of the circuit there is a module trying to communicate . If you cut the wires and scope each cut end that tells You if a module it trying to communicate or not . If you only have network on one side…
Can you communicate with every single module on the vehicle? What other modules run on the network that the abs runs on? You need three things. All power supplies including switched ignition voltage has to be good. All grounds should be voltage dropped to test integrity of a good ground circuit. And both your communication wires need to be good meaning testing the integrity of the wires and…
The scan he posted showed the PCM coding against the ABS as well as the TIPM and the WCM. So, his PT CAN is good and his DIAG CAN is too.
Hi , you can take a look on the attachment that contains a quick test of the car and a diagram of modules Can circuit
Scan data will not help you fix this vehicle , you need to do physical testing
It does appear the ABS module is not communicating. Since you were able to read the codes from the other modules on the bus, tells you the bus is good. Some of the higher level OE training material explains that the healthy module will set the codes. There are a few exceptions to the rule, but bases on your provided information this vehicle does not fall into any exceptions. It appears to be…
hi again, customer bring 4 ABS module that he was already order before car come to my shop ,ABS parts number …AA) this he have 3 pieces and 1 piece with part number …AF).is this fits to this car with chassis number (1J4RR5GT2BC519816).
Hi again, yesterday i receive new Abs module from dealer.i instal it to car and i get communication with it ,i do programming and all was good, here i think that my problem is finished with Abs. i begin to put all parts at its place after it was removed for testing purpose.after some hours i start engine to try car again i find that ABS warning lights come on again,i connect…
