Flash License Violation

When aftermarket programming Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler using J2534

Sometimes when programming using J2534 application for Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler and Volkswagen Routan you get a Flash license violation. There are a couple of things you can do to fix this. And understand why this error is happening.

Make sure that the module or modules you are flashing do not have a federal recall campaign for that software. J2534 Chrysler application will block you from programming. You will need to take the vehicle to the dealership.

Chrysler Tech Authority has released, or is in the process on releasing a higher J2534 application version and the current version is now obsolete.

If there is no higher version released at the time of this error message, try re-downloading the J2534 software from tech authority, and when the application is re-downloaded, select the repair option. In some cases, this will fix this error.
