DriveProES

We bought the Opus DriveProES and I am very disappointed with the remote programming. As a Scanner it is great for European and subpar for Asian and Domestic. The 2 reasons I bought was for European and Programing. So what do you guys recommend for Programming the 3 CAN networks for the newer vehicles? Thinking of staying away from the Drew Cardac 3 as they are the ones who do the programming in the DrivePro.

We have tried to get Fiat, Jeeps, and Nissin programmed and they have not been able to. The last time they left my technician hanging, saying they would get back to him. So now we don't even try to use them any more, If we cannot do it with our Cardac 2, we send them to the dealer.

The tickets I see for Fiat are: for a 2014 Fiat 500. This has been diagnosed and programmed using factory software a few times. If you called RAP, they may have told you they couldn't do it. Most of Fiat's junk boxes are on an exceptions list. This means there is one issue or another programming them and it is safer (for you and the company) to not do them. However you have a DrivePRO which…

Yes, the selling points for it to us was we were told that we would be able to program the new vehicles, Jeep and Fiat in particular as we see a lot of those. The Renegade was the last straw, left my tech hanging along with my customer. Don't get me wrong the Autologic portion of the tool is excellent for the Euro, the rest needs work and I am sure your working on it. I have 3 other brands of…

I would like to reiterate that RAP are not diagnosticians. If and when a programming fails, they advise you to check the basics. They do not go any further than that, That's what the support side of the company is about. I did not see any diagnostic support requests opened for that Jeep. I would advise you to open a support request and we can find out why that module didn't program. Maybe it's…

I gave my tech your information if he runs into another problem. Also part of the problem is the people answering the phones do not know what they are talking about, he has talked to the support side and they say that they can do it, then we get the ok to program, call back in and get told you can't do it and have to work are way around that person to get to some that then does what you said you…

Same here, the machine keeps on freezing up, does very little as far as imports go that snap on wont do but even snap on is going down hill, i sent a couple of reports about the machine freezing and they said it was due to no 12 volts at terminal even though the autologic managed to get it done, happy i did not get rid of the autologic because it saved us a few times when the opus was freezing…

Roy, The question was what do others recommend for a J box. Your Cardaq 2 is made by Drew Technologies, so is the Cardaq 3. The only better choice would be the M, that now comes with the Mega Can option. With the M, they can add new modules to update if automakers add new protocols. Drew Tech is the only supplier that provides any support for J 2534 devices You should hit us up! We have…

Just to verify , are you still selling the clone laptops as well? I've heard that they would require multiple additional payments to keep them up to date . And how does this work with new Xentry requirements 🤔

Hi Roy, For mega can I am using a Snap On Pass Thru Pro 4, which is a re-boxed Drew Cardaq 3+. I have had 2 2012 Fiat 500’s and numerous Jeep’s that I have used it on with no issues at all. I would however work with the guys at Opus and see what you can get resolved 1st. I have dealt with them in the past, and they were top-notch profesional with me.

If you're unhappy with the results, why not try to find a mobile programmer in your area? There's bound to be one. I've had several clients in my area, that tried the service and didn't get the bang for the buck they were expecting, so I've gotten them back as clients. Chrysler can be a total PITA though, so I feel your pain.
