What ASE Practice Test is the best to use
Hi All we are currently trialling ASE in Australia and we have all been given access to Online Cengage Training for our study material and practice tests. A few of our guys who have now sat for the test are saying that Online Cengage Training practice tests are not properly preparing them for the real test. My Question is who do you guys recommend we use for our preparation?
In the past I've used the Motorage books. They seem to be very similar to the actual test. This was several years ago so I don't know if they've changed or not.
Thanks Martin I will look them up
I'm rather biased, but I would encourage you to try our …ASE study resources at passthease.com I would also share that study guides are intended to help those who are already experienced and trained in the certification areas to prepare for the exam. They are not intended as text books to instruct someone who has no training in the area. Considering the training and education
Hi Pete, I am not sure if I have ever corresponded with you before, but I sure do know of you and respect the work you give to the Auto industry. I will definitely look up your training material it sounds like the place to be. I have been very instrumental in this ASE trial we are currently running in our Country. We have over 90 techs including myself who are sitting for this pilot test which
Pete I have been a reader of Motorage for over 40 years & been Master certified since 1978 I recently bought the L1 recertification study guide from Motorage & found it to be “not relevant@ to the test. This was my 2nd time recertifying & I Came dangerously close to not passing. The downloaded composite vehicle from ASE was much more helpful i have bought the A1-A8 several
Thanks Dick and Pete has also replied to me directly so I will have a look at what Motorage has to offer it sounds like the best option at the moment
Dick, Sorry to hear that. We pride ourselves on being the only ASE study guide provider that promises your money back if you don't pass. As I'm sure you are aware, the ASE updates tests periodically and if you say the composite vehicle was not relevant, I am concerned - since we get that material directly from ASE. Was it the wrong. or old, composite? What was the publishing date for the manual
Pete give me a call this afternoon please … I am not wishing to bash Motorage. I have been a faithful user for a very long time Dick
I used the ones from tests.com for training. They seemed to be much like the ones ASE puts out.
I recommend knowledge. None of the regular tests require very extensive knowledge in the area, and the advanced tests are only moderately difficult. However, I used the Cengage books in the past, and I have never failed a test. For the advanced level, recert tests, and HD/truck tests, I have just gone and done them without specific preparation. The gist of this is- I don't think that the
Thanks Marlin yes it is and has to be more about Knowledge and we can never have enough Knowledge
Maurice, Ther are many great recommendations in this post. A very good practice and prep website for ASE computer based testing would be: asetestprep.com Check it out to make you own evaluation. They have an excellent resource for their development. Thank You
Maurice, A great place for FREE … test prep material is …. Here is a link to our study guide: ….com/Test-Prep-Trai….aspx The study guides are separated by test and by test series. The study guides contains the test content areas and the tasks for each area. Every … test question is associated with specific task from the study guide, however, we do not ask a question on every
Thank you Kevin, I did purchase a one of AES vouchers and was surprised it only allowed we 25 questions and did not rotate a new lot of fresh questions. So this to me makes Online Cengage Training very good value as they have around 60 questions and multiple varying batch groups of these questions and you can do as many batches as you like. But I will check out these free ASE test and study
