Audio, A/C not working
I receive this L494 2015 today ,audio and a/c control not working
Screen turn on with landrover logo for seconds then it shut down as you will see on the video on the attachment also u will see a quick test for faults code related to medium speed can.
Most euro's do this when there is a most bus issue. Your report does not show communication with the touch screen module, or any infotainment module. Do they communicate or have any codes?

Hey buddy, its going to be really hard to help if you haven't done any testing. If there are medium speed CAN faults you need to put a scope on the medium speed CAN and at least post what the signal looks like. It looks like you have a hard current fault. Should be fairly easy to nail since its currently a broke car. Please connect a scope to medium speed and post the waveform. Help us help you!!
Hi Caleb, thank you for your reply,i do basic test on the M/S can on the diagnostic connector by multimeter, i find that voltage is 7.5-8.2v and 10v on m/s can pins. resistence is 60 ohm between m/s can pins. can you advice me with this result?!
Do you have a scope you can put on it?? Anyway you are measuring at pins 1 and 9 on the DLC correct?? So there is another body Medium Speed CAN on this car on pins 3 and 11 at the DLC. Please do the measurements at pins 3 and 11 and lets compare to 1 and 9. Do you have a scope we can get a waveform with??
According to the diagram pins 1 and 9 on the DLC are for the Medium Speed CAN that has the entertainment modules. Thats were you need to connect your scope and lets see what you have. Being as you are in Africa I do not know if my schematic is correct for your application
yes i take result on pin 1 and 9 on the DLC. for moment i do not have scope with me.
Okay well this is going to be challenging without a scope but we can try. Get the comparisons at 3 and 11 and lets go from there.
Hi, pin 3 is 2.75 v pin 11 is 2.24 v
Okay so you definitely have a short to voltage on the network on pins 1 and 9. The next step is too start unplugging modules on that network and dividing the system to figure out were the short is coming from. Because have 60 I dont think you have a shorted wire. More than likely its an internal module failure. Do you any diagrams?? I really dont have time right now to go through every module…
I also see on the diagram that the side blind zone modules in the rear bumper are on the network. Has the car been in an accident?? Is there any rear body damage?? They could also have water intrusion. You could try disconnecting the side blind zone modules before anything else.
Hi, problem solved. as Caleb advice me,i disconnect the blind side module on the rear left bumper ,and all works normal now. thank you for your assistance .
