Lexus module question
I've run into this can bus problem that is created when this module is plugged in. My question is to those that have more daily experience with Toyota products…. is this a module that can be sourced used and installed , and what would be involved as far as if any programing? or does it have to be new ? The module is referred to as the stability skid control.
Any helpful tips/advice would be very appreciated
Thank you
*wanted to note that this is separate from the abs module that is bolted to the hydraulic unit*
Alldata says zero point calibration and liner valve offset learning. These are simple scan tool functions. That coincides with other Toyota ABS (skid) modules Ive replaced in the past. Never had to do any programming. (I have not done this particular vehicle)
Chances are good that a used module may have the same issues, of course. Rudy is correct on performing calibrations, no programming required.
Yeah normally it’s changed at times with the Actuator that has issues so like someone said already calibrate within EBR linear offset and maybe a reset memory of the ABS.
I've used used ABS/VSC control units on other Toyota products. You'll need to reset the memory to clear the learned values from the donor car and then perform the linear valve calibration. For what it's worth, you cannot swap an actuator or control unit without clearing and relearning. They share a calibration ID or something, and the car will know if the calibration was last performed with a…
