Cummins Insite programmable features
Hey guys. Heres a procedure that is sometimes still needed to be performed before a unit can be put back in the field for service. There may be several adjustments that need to be performed to get the vehicle up to the customers expectations.
I always save a work order on Cummins. Glad I did the other day, the programmable parameters did not load correctly in the ECM. It is a lot easier to go in and change them when you have a list of what it was set to before. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Great point Matthew...wish I would have mentioned that..i always do an ecm image as well.
The one I had a problem with was in a Navistar chassis.
Interesting, I haven't been exposed to that yet. Cummins says there are issues with Freightshakers blanking modules during a reprogramming event. Without the Image File, the day gets real long. They recommend using the 3-Pin connector for programming. Guido
I have a 3 pin connector to program. It is also advisable to unplug modules on the bus if you go through the 9 pin. Diesel Laptops makes some nice programming bypass cables too, if I was a fleet of a few engines I would def. have them.
