Printing SnapOn Scope Capture
Hi DN!
I've got a scope capture of a nice shorted ignition coil winding that I want to print out from my computer using the SO ShopStream software suite, but it seems to not want to format correctly.
It seems to only print ~⅔ of the image and nothing I do seems to make a difference.
Selecting “Print only scope capture” or “Print full screen” settings gives me the same results, as does selecting “Portrait” or “Landscape” in the printer settings. Adjusting the scale settings in the page setup only changes the size of the image, and does not give me more of the picture
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi Dan..upload it to Altus drive and email it or print it. Easy Peasey! Happy New Year
I agree with Edwin. Printing directly from the tool can be more difficult. If you have a current subscription, upload it to your cloud then download and print.
My subscription is not up to date (though it should be, but that's a different story), and I'll have to get my SO dealer to correct that in the new year in order to get the cloud stuff working. That said, I have the file on my PC already through the USB connection and I'm trying to print from there. I've looked but I can't fid a way to upload from PC to Altus either. I'll try re-installing…
Done! Also, the re-install of ShopStream did not change anything
Dan, is it the right file? — the amperage trace is always 0. Other than that I can print the image to PDF normally. EDIT1: This may be because my ShopStream version is old and does not open the file correctly… EDIT2: Here is PDF taken with the latest ShopStream:
Hmm… This is what I get when I print to PDF. I think I might be calling SnapOn tech support on this one. I remember roughly a year ago I was able to do this with no problems, but since then I've gotten a new PC, and the shop got a new TritonD8, and a new printer. I'll try from one of the other PCs in the shop too…
I don't have a problem printing out of ShopStream Connect. I've uploaded the screenshot, and the print to PDF of the same screen through SSC. I'm on Windows 10 32bit.
If you can see your images in Altus drive then you should be able to email yourself the image
You can call snap on diagnostics they can remotely help you set up your printer I’ve had them help me with that few times myself … snap on diagnostics
UPDATE I updated the driver for the printer, and it still comes out clipped. I then tried printing from the office PC using the same version of SSC and the same printer (which I set up for all the PCs in the shop), using from what I can tell is all the same printing preferences… and it comes out perfect! It's going to be annoying to kick the boss off his computer every time I need to print…
