2007 Saab 9-3 2.0T 2.0L (Y B207R) 5-spd

Hello everyone, i would like to know if anybody knows the procedure or where to find the procedure to replace and reprogram a used pcm on a 2007 saab 93. I have a tech 2 with saab card, candi , and saab tis 2000 but up until now never had to do one. I tried like if it was a regular gm car but was a no go, I've been looking around and looks like you have to gain security access and then un marry the old pcm and then marry new(used) pcm but not sure of exact process . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Thanks for the reply . I'm trying to set up an account but it's asking for vat # . Is that like the lsid equivalent in Europe? Do I need lsid to gain security access?

Skip the vat # (you don't have one). I don't you need a lsid. This is the site others are telling you to use (I have not used it) txsuite.org hope this helps.

last time I deal with a Saab I had to sent it to a company somewhere east to clone it, I just didn't wanted to deal with the headache, it was no worth for me, I think is the only Saab I had to program. Tomorrow I can direct you to that company just in case.

I just replace a pcm ina 2011 9-3 maybe 2 months ago with a used unit. My understanding was it has to be the same part number and vehicle configuration as the vehicle you are working on. Using the tech 2 and the saab Orio website you gain security access and it will rewrite/add the used module to the vehicle. It will look exactly like the gm tis website. Go to the vehicle with the original …

Remove the old PCM using the Tech 2. Ffollow the screen prompts under "add/remove." Swap the module then add the replacement following the same steps. Once added you can program the module

Don’t forget to add you need to access security through GM tis web site to finish adding new pcm.

Purchase a SAAB Subscription, (looks just like GM SPS); Flash program PCM/ECM to correct VIN (this will load correct files by VIN as well); Now using Tech 2, plug Tech2 into your car and read the car and VIN, plug Tech2 into pc or laptop and click " Security" option on the SAAB TIS sight and let it load some access data to your tech2. When this is finished you will need to use the Tech2 and…

Ricardo, As some other members mentioned, Saab Trionic Software is the way to go with a Saab. Here is a link to a post I did on it. Saab Trionic Software There is a little learning curve but it is well worth it. The software seems pretty bullet proof.
