I Can Not Program New Bcm Module

Hello everyone! I am in trouble that I cannot solve, I am trying to replace a BCM module in a 2011 Ford F450 Super Duty (6.7L) DSL, A / T, 4WD, No TPMS system. I have tried in different ways with IDS VCI II but I can not advance more than "As Built Data" and I tried to do it manually and connected to the internet the same does not advance from there, if someone has had the same problem or can give me a tip I will appreciate it thank you.

Hi Francisco, I just recently overcame an ”ordeal” trying to program a BCM in a 13’ F550. Every time I tried to verify the vehicle I was stuck with a “testman error”. After going in circles for weeks I realized my medium speed bus wasn’t communicating, also realized my radio wasn’t operating either which is on that bus line. Francisco, What version of IDS are you running. I had an issue programming a BCM on a Focus 2 weeks ago. I was running 117.03 It would not go into the PATS system and would not allow me to load the NEW BCM settings, I had to downgrade to 117.01 and it went through fine after that. Just a thought

Or maybe update to 117.04 and reattempt as it is quicker than uninstalling and reloading 117.01 If I am understanding correctly, you can enter asbuilt manually or automatically, then the software will quit?

Hi Gary! That is correct, last night I was thinking that another way I could try to be able to program it and install V: 116.1 instead of using V: 117.4 of the IDS and everything went as it should, I could do all the remaining procedures, this makes me think that there is certain problems between the versions of the software, thank you all for your comments.

Glad it worked out for you. It’s very strange, some have issues and some don’t. I’m using IDS on a Toughbook with Windows 10. Others have the same setup and no issues.

If at all possible I avoid updating IDS until they send the "IDS police" out..Lol

Francisco, This has been an issue since late summer/early fall last year. I would suggest a call to Rotunda to document this issue and resolution. Also file a SIR with with issue and resolution. We should not have to go through all this wasted time. IDS used to be bulletproof. Now not so much. I have to keep multiple versions of IDS around to make sure I can complete jobs. Ridiculous. They…

Thanks Jonh! That is what I am going to do, try not to update as much as possible and keep old versions to deal with cases like this.

Make sure you call Rotunda and file a SIR. This way if we have numbers MAYBE something good will happen.

I believe it was sent over to Ford as information only Since the vehicle is already repaired. I have not heard anything from Ford. NASTF did contact me the next day to ask if vehicle was fixed.

Gary, It is my understanding that if a SIR is filed and deemed "worthy" the OE has 24-48 hours to reply which should be shared with NASTF members. I would like to see Ford/Rotunda's reply to your issue at hand. Why did you have to back up to a previous version to get the job done. Maybe Donny will chime in.

Gary, Any word on your SIR? From Ford/Rotunda? NASTF? If there is no reply from the OE what are the ramifications to the OE if any? Had a mobile tech I know call me today. He was getting Testman Errors with v.117.05 and reverted back to v.117.01 and got the job done. So ridiculous.
