Readiness Monitor Incomplete — 02 Chrysler
I need to get some ideas with this Chrysler, please refer to pictures as testing of o2 sensor heater resistance, also criteria for monitor ,
here is the story behind this we replace the pcm about a year ago because had a dtc for internal memory failures. Now it is time for bi-annual emission, and customer did not move the car for about 6 months is being sitting, we install new battery and drive it for running monitors run all monitor except the 02 sensor heater.
Run ok the EVAP, CAT, o2 sensor monitor but no 02 sensor heater. The criteria to run the monitor is there on the images, we have try several times and does not run the single monitor, I checked for TSB I did not find any related to monitor only info I find is to set monitor by following drive cycle criteria.
I decided to check all 02 sensor heater resistance are in between spec check cold condition due to location o exhaust to disconnect. Result are there on pictures as well spec.
I check the heater circuit of the easiest 02 sensor and I have ground and power , are shared all of them since I do not have any dtc my next step was to request other PCM. they got me other computer both used, this last PCM was removed from a vehicle with 72k same part number, I compare it with the original PCM the one fail internally and same part number. so the last install PCM does not run any monitor at all, none I install back the one does not run the heather only I am back in the same square 1, all run except 02 sensor heather. Every time before trying something I have reset all PCM memories through scanner, also remove battery terminals and short out.
When I checked the resistance of sensor I had in mind probably one of the resistance being off and PCM deciding not to run the monitor, the vehicle supposed to run the monitor with key off, I have try in the morning start vehicle for about 15 minutes run Idle than turn off. Also road test have it idle and turn off retest no luck.

I might check the mode 6 data to see if the monitor is flagging a fault but not setting a code yet. I will attach the code set criteria for that vehicle that also mentions what has to happen in order for that code to "mature" and set a DTC. Also, do all of the monitors reset every key cycle? A missing always on power to the ECM can simulate disconnecting the battery causing all of the monitor
one monitor does not run with one pcm because as I mentioned I have 2 pcm 02 heater
I am not sure what that says.
Joel, Take it up to a steady cruise for at least 5 minutes, immediately decelerate to a stop off the road, put in park and shutoff wait at least 5 minute with key off. Cycle back on and check status. The reason for the quick deceleration is to assure the exhaust temp timer does does drop below 1 minute inferring a cooled off sensor. The Drive Cycle can be found at r….com under

I follow the instructions you gave me here drive vehicle on highway, did not run . I went to your web site dowloaded full instructions , I decided to try it on the rack, clear codes and follow each step , run at this time the 02 sensor heather monitor , I have not run the cat and evap yet at this cycle how ever I have run those before with out issues , than you sir , for your help
Hey Joel, I thought the name was familiar, where are you located? Important part of the O2 is not go through a long decel after the cruise, otherwise the PCM sees the exhaust cool down and suspends the monitor. Look at this capture attached, the pretest enable criteria is on the top. The bottom are the bottom, MPH is what is takes to run the monitor. Pleased that you are happy with Shane!

Most state programs will allow one monitor to be incomplete for a passing test.
