I assume it came “blank” like all the newer Nissan ECM’s from the dealer come. Needs programmed. It’s a bit of a pain

The module does come Blank.. That it's from Mexico you will not find it on the nissan-techinfo.com website from the North America region. And unfortunately the Nissan website will notice your IP address so unless your in Mexico or can fake that you would need to know someone in that region that could assist you. Or someone who has access to the program files of that region. But the Blank ECM…

John, You might want to recheck that vin. I get an error when punching it into vin decoders. The 8th digit is wrong.

Thanks Bob That is the vin on the firewall. The nissan 4parts would not decode it also. Nissan dealer gave me a part number for ecm with that vin. Different part # than Mexico dealer. Nether ecm # would generate a flash file #.

Is this thing even OBDII compliant? Does it have catalysts and an evap system? My guess is that it is in the country illegally and I can't see a way that you are going to be able to get the flash file easily to get this thing running.

Got a call from nissan. North America will not have files for Mexico. The person I talked to did not feel the person they talked to was overly helpful. Hopefully someone has been here before and has better information.

Hi John, We could maybe help with using a VPN from Mexico. When that is done the software will think that is your location.
