2004 Grand Cherokee 2.7CRD

Using Launch Pro Mini, Jeep software version V33.00, Launch will read ECM fault codes but will not let me see any live data, any data chosen just shows a straight line, tried KOEO and KOEI, tried in TCM all OK, under OBD live data (minimal) is available. If anyone can confirm if this should work. I have a 2006 5.7 here which communicates OK.

I agree with Joel - the Launch software has never worked well for CDJR, in my experience. I had very similar issues connecting to newer Grand Caravan's with V32.XX. V33 fixed most of them, but it's still hit or miss...

Hi I have used Version 32.30 on a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel and had data and output controls. So I would think it should but understand its not a 2004.

The vehicle I am specting about 14 v. So I decide check power and ground all where there at 14 volt , good power and ground. That does make for a frustrating situation. When in doubt it certainly is always wise to grab another tool and to verify the actual output or input of the circuit at the module. The launch is not my first grab tool for a few reasons.

I had a similar experience recently due to a poor ECM ground. Using an OTC Smart BOB (Breakout Box) with pinout LED's connected between the DLC and my scanner, I noticed that the LED illumination was dim, that was my clue.
