Autologic Or Autoland?
So I'm in the market for a new (used) scanner to do programming and coding of modules on both Mercedes and BMW, I currently use autel MK908 pro but I'm tired of the holes in it. So the question for you guys is: which one would be better?, I'm looking at the older versions on both since my designated budget is around $4K, meaning the older blue box for autologic and the Iscan II for autoland. please give me your opinions specially if you have used both. thanks
I had both, each one has cons and prons. Nothing does it all unfortunately. I have a used i scan 2 for sale. I scan 3 is better. Autologic is not bad as well , Autoland stronger on benz, Autologic stronger on Bmw.
Our shop has iSCAN 3 and it is able to do it through the remote service where someone from iSCAN has to remotely connect through the scan tool to do it. We have done it a couple times.
As of right now iSCAN is not doing the SCN coding at the moment, there xentry system has been shut down, also or Autologic. I am looking to see if i can get the xentry subscription in order to do MB, looks lie the price has gone down from where it was before.
We have used Autologic for over a decade and we have the blue box, the AssistPlus, and the DrivePro ES. You can do most things with BMW. Only a few modules on newer cars that they can’t do anything with. Mercedes on the other hand, you can not do SCN coding at all anymore. You can do some with Autel and it has messed more things up than it’s worth. Recently Mercedes’ servers have had some issues…
I personally do not see the value in AL. Just been my experience. I do not use everything they offer though
I’m not sure how this is helpful. Autologic is clearly better suited than most other scan tools. I’m not sure how you have spent that much money unless you have bought a ton of scan tools from them. Even if you did remote programming that’s only $125 a pop.
One thing I've learned id 1 size does not fit all. Most shops have multiple scanners unless they focus on 1 brand specifically and even then you may still need more than one depending on model.
Hello Allan ,. i feel better now after reading your post ,. i understand your facts 100%,.
Allan, sorry I missed this post. Sounds like from another reply you explained why you prefer iScan. I'm sorry if my post came out wrong, I was more curious why you felt the way you do than anything. I have never used iScan, so I do not have a fair comparison. And we have had our share of frustrations with AL over the years. I felt like you were blowing off what they are capable of doing. They…
I have both Autologic ES and ISCAN SF if the tool can’t do it the SOD team can there pretty good . You need both tools if your mobile diagnostic tech.
Iscan is the clear winner here for your stated needs. Almost all BMW coding and programming is local to the Iscan. Yes you read that right. Including F and G chassis. No need for remote. Autologic only does ECM/TCM with Xentry using Drive Pro as passthru. Autoland does all MB modules with Xentry remotely using Iscan as passthru. The Iscan is also a VAS6154 emulator if you have ODIS.
I have a New Autologic Opus for sale. Let me know if you are interested!
I also have an autologic es that i would be willing to part with as we dont seem to use it as often as i had originally hoped to. I was going to post in on ebay for 4k. you can email me if youd like, it does not have the blue box unfortunately. …
Does autologic allow you to buy the drivepro ES used and then put in your name for the subscription of live tech support?
Not sure, I’m going to be calling them tomorrow and can get back to you if they have an answer on that. Are you lookin to get one used?
yes im looking for a used one but obviously i would only buy it if autologic doesn't have a problem giving me a subscription for updates and technical support and programming and coding, since I didn't buy the drive pro es NEW from them directly. also i know your area i used to live in Arlington heights so you wouldn't be far if your interested in selling your drive pro ES
I’m waiting on a call back from them and I’ll get the answer to your question. I’d be happy to meet half way or wherever. I’ll reply once I hear, or if you want shoot me a text …
I will give you original bill when i bought 2019 from ,and bill from me and shouldn't give you any trouble to contacted and renew subscription. $3,500 + shipping Contact me I will send you pictures …
They will allow you to start a new subscription with the tool as long as you show a bill of sale that you in fact bought it. Let me know if you’d like to move forward. You got my number
Should be no problem if you have receipt of payment.
Why are you looking for older tools? Do you only work on older cars? If not, you need a modern tool with the support and functions that go along with it. I used AL for about 10 years and it was fantastic. However I feel they lost their way when trying to expand to all makes and models. The Iscan 3 is currently the superior tool for Euro vehicles(IMO)
I have Autologic Drive PRO Kit for sale if you're interested. I bought my 2019 and didn't renew subscription after expired. Like new with everything $3,500 If you're interested contact me
Enver, after you stopped your subscription did you lose ability to utilize the rap programming? i'm trying to figure this out and havent got a clear answer from AL
I lost everything , i can't use tools , Cant connect or log in any car. For using tools you need connecting to autologic
Count me in, For my unit as well . assist plus 2019 ,activation still current . all euro brands available . $3,500.00
Go with iscan, see who actually pickups the phone when u need help
If anyone is looking for a Bluebox & the Orange Box Assist, I'm selling both of ours, in good working condition, make offer. …
I'll throw my two cents in. Our shop has iSCAN and Autologic. My opinion is that both are okay, but both will let you down sometimes. I'm not real impressed with the iSCAN scan tool by itself, but it does have additional capabilities. The additional capabilities such as SCN coding for Mercedes through remote might make it worth the money, but as far as the basic scan tool abilities it's just…
I have the autologic assist and the Iscan 3. I use the Iscan more often. I feel it is an easier tool to use and I like that it does not have to be plugged in when not in use. It powers up as soon as it is plugged into the DLC. I often forget to put the autologic back on the charger so the battery is dead. The Iscan is also a better size tool to use, the autologic is a but to big and clunky…
So after considering all of your input, -I want to thank each one of you guys-, It seems the better suited for my needs is the ISCAN, It seems that Autologic has lost some ground after being purchased by OPUS - according to some local guys who also own the different autologic tools-. And after a night of research I found out they make a more affordable yet full feature Iscan SF that falls well…
good choice . Erick Edberg has been around for long time and is very honest when it comes to purchases and customer service.
