Code P260F Replaced PCM and Reflashed with latest software
No Drivability Symptoms. Pending Code Sets 2-3 Minutes After Startup. Check Engine Light On Next Morning After 5 Minute Drive.
I can not find any diagnostics for this code. Info I have found suggests internal PCM problem. We just installed the 3rd pcm and same results. Besides replacing PCM what is the diagnostics for this code?
Some quick research and I found this: Potential Causes to set this code: Canister Vent (CANV) Solenoid Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit Restricted Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor Connector Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor Wiring Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Programming Hope this helps
Round 2 might make more sense. Potential Causes to set this code: 1)Canister Vent (CANV) Solenoid, 2)Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit, 3)Restricted Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System, 4)Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor, 5)Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor Connector, 6)Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor Wiring, 7)Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Programming
Hello Andrew Check out pinpoint hx50 evaporative emission monitoring system. What is the FTP PID spec key on engine running.
Sounds like a wiring harness issue
Hi Andrew: Any other codes in the module? What are the enabling conditions? What are the blocking conditions? What is default when a codes sets? fordservicecontent.com/ford_content/c….pdf Page 36 I have to admit that you stating the MIL illuminates so quickly jumps out since Ford states the monitor doesn't enable until 20 minutes after start up. (Perhaps the…
Yes had the same issue. Smoke tested the evap system found a leaked at the purge valve canister . Replaced it cleared code and fixed issue.
I had the same code set on a 08 ranger after the pcm was replaced for other reasons. Turns out the PCM's from the dealer were improperly boxed / wrong hardware. The programming was performed via ID'ing the vehicle with the original PCM installed , and also via tear tag. It took a while to get the dealer / Ford parts to figure out they were sending us the wrong PCM's See if the tear tag…
