We currently are working on a 2008 Cayenne 4.8L and were working through an estimate and repair on the Timing chains on this vehicle. In the kit it includes oil pump drive chain and a new sprocket. My question is is this something that anyone has had experience with or with out replacing during a timing chain Job. I looks like it requires the engine and trans to be removed from the cradle to allow for oil pan removal. Trying to figure out our options on this one.

Thanks

1st line is pull engine and trans. Reat Time Labor says 16 hrs.

May be able to remove front axle carrier and anything else in the way in front to get to upper part of pan. No matter what, drivetrain comes out the bottom anyways, so that would be the start.
