2007 Jeep Wrangler ABS Flash update for ESP system activating on turns # 08-007-07

After successful update with witech vehicle had mis configuration code stored in ABS module and vin was no longer programmed.

Wrote vin with Autel and then had to perform ABS initialize and ESP initialize with Autel as they would not complete in Witech. After performing Vin write and initialization vehicle was back to normal with no codes.

After vin write, Configuration code was gone but ABS light would flash like the module was new and would not stop until initialization was completed with Autel. Witech would not enter the drive screen.

Tanner...interesting. You dont usually here about a factory tool not getting the job done...its usually an aftermarket tool thats at fault. Good find!

Is it possible this is because the WiTech platform started in 2009, May not have all features functioning for older vehicles even though it was supposed to work. Just a theory.

Exactly my thoughts. It'll be more and more common as time marches on. It's the nature of ever evolving software vs. older and older hardware.

AK is right. Original wi tech is no longer available or supported with FCA. The original wi tech( wi tech 1) is what will program it correctly. If you can find an old wi tech program or a star scanner that has the correct calibration loaded. It will work. The wi tech 2.0 doesnt support enough old software. You can also see the same problems when flashing the BCM for those same vehicles and…
