Has anyone run into issues with FDRS and Cardaq 3? The software wont load to even access any software functions. Every time I use FDRS with the Cardaq 3 it gives an error message when selecting the VCI and forces the software closed. This has been going on for a little over a month, have tried another Cardaq unit, FJDS works with no problem. FDRS is updated to latest version.

Yes I am too, same issue as well with others I've spoken to in my area. I got a hold of Ford and they are aware and was told it was a software issue with the latest version of FDRS and it won't be resolved until the next version release.

This may be accurate- but just my two cents- I've received the "We know, it's a software issue and it will be fixed on the next release" as an answer from Ford at least a half dozen times in the past for varying issues that were frequently resolved in different ways. I sometimes suspect that's their default "Get them off the phone" answer. But, I'll fully acknowledge that I may be wrong about…

I sure hope not because they were useless on the phone, however that does seem like something any company says lol. I had to submit an email support request and it took them like a full week to respond to me. I did however get refunded over the phone for the subscription i had paid for that I wasn't able to use.

I haven't run into this issue with Cardaq 3 specifically, but I have run into it with Ford in general probably a dozen times, and with multiple VCIs, including Ford's own. I can't tell from your screenshots, but are you set up with a USB connection or using bluetooth? If it's set for both, I'd try turning off the Bluetooth completely, and make sure none of your other scan tools are on…

Yes I uninstalled and reinstalled both FDRS and the VCI manager. Cardaq is completely up to date and using a wired USB connection only and windows 10 and I will verify firmware version. I got it to work previously on another vehicle, just by ignoring the pop up windows and clicking “read vin” and it immediately ran the network test. It crashed several times but I never closed once I got it to…

I had problems with a Snapon PTP4, I wound up uninstalling it and installing a older version. look in the downloads folder of windows 10 all of your updates should be in there.

If I remember correctly (I know they have an FAQ sheet that I'll try to locate), the IE Specific security settings do require pop-ups to be allowed, and to be set to 'pop up' in new windows (not tabs). And allowing dealer connection.com & *ford.com to be added to "Trusted Sites". In addition, I believe Windows 10 should have all "functional" updates, but do not…
