No crank, 2000 C230K
I am not getting 12V to the starter solenoid but I was able to crank the engine by jumping the solenoid from the 12V coming in to starter. I ran a diagnostic on EIS and my "Key Position H0 (Auxiliary contact)" stays on NO. Every other values change as they are supposed to. Does anyone have an idea on where to look next and why Auxiliary contact never says YES? Pictures attached below Thank you.
Check the fuse for the cam magnets. It also powers the starter relay and one of the powers for the ME
From the E.I.S the power from terminal 50(cranking signal) goes to the front Sam module under the wiper assembly. The violet wire carries the voltage from the Sam to the starter. Is there a cranking voltage at the violet wire out of the Sam?
if there is 12v out of the front Sam during terminal 50 ( cranking) on the violet wire then your problem is either a short in the wire to the starter motor or the starter motor.
Lock the car with the key FOB. Open and close the trunk. Lock/Unlock door with key FOB. See what happens.
