Intermittant Fault Set
No Adverse Running Condition

Has history of setting multiple vvt codes. Sensors,solenoid valves,timing chain replaced. Passes scan tool vvt test.

SETS P0016 INTERMITTANTLY.

Thank you for supplying exactly what I am looking for. My pattern has 6 to 7 CKP triggers between CMP and CKP gap. Spec is 3-5 triggers. Definitely something wrong. Tech says P0016 will set if expected position is off by +- 15 degrees. Since each CKP tooth is 6 degrees. It would only need to be off 2 ½ teeth. Would you agree? Removed valve cover and reinspected timing chain alignment. It's ok…
