Adding key to 2016 honda civic
I need to add a key to a honda and need to know what iN system means for honda? see attached photo
Don’t use HDS. Use Autel or something else. Otherwise you need an LSID and a whole lot of pain. The HDS will spit out an outcode IF you have the locksmith version then you Will need to enter that into the Honda website to get an Incode. Don’t do it. Not worth the effort with Honda
have You done it on a 2016 Honda Civic, I just don’t want to lock it out. I have the Autel maxisys 906bt
Just did a 16 new body Accord the other day with push button start with my Snap On Modis. Took less than 5 minutes. No code.
IN is for " interactive network" it's hondas factory scan tool and information system. If you have an HDS system you won't need codes but if you don't then there are other scan tools that can perform this function for you.
What tool will you be using for this job?
Id say if its somewhat updated you will get the job done with no problem. I hear the your 906 does what my 908P will do. The 908 hasn't failed me on a Honda ever.
It up too date I will be doing this job on Monday and I’ll post an update
