State Inspection Rejects

Have had a few Subaru’s 2012 through 2014 recently that have had trouble running catalyst, o2 and egr monitors. These vehicles pass all bi directional tests and all the usual bases have been covered. My question is this, the one thing they have had in common is an abs light. Have not done any diag on the abs light but now wondering if there is some connection between the monitors not running and the abs problem. The o2 heater monitor and evap monitors are complete, no trouble codes in pcm of course. I have run the drive cycle very carefully on the Dyno multiple times. Disconnected battery, software flash etc have all been done.

It's just not an ABS system anymore, it's part of the VDC System (Vehicle Dynamic Control). The PCM uses ABS/VDC input's as part of its control strategy as does the TCM. I've been doing some research to try and find a definitive answer to your question to directly connect one (ABS) to the other (Monitors) but coming up empty. I can only guess that until the PCM is satisfied with the ABS/VDC…
